Science of Security Meeting

After Thanksgiving I attended the Science of Security Community Meeting. There were a few projects there related to software assurance from the NCSU Lablet, in particular Emerson Muphy-Hill’s work on An Adoption Theory of Secure Software Development Tools examining why software developers do and don’t adopt software assurance tools; Mladen Vouk and Laurie Williams work on An Investigation of Scientific Principles Involved in Software Security Engineering; and Tao Xie’s Software Security Metrics. All interesting problems tackling vital problems in the software assurance community complementary to our work.
